Please join us in welcoming Rutherford's own   singer-songwriter Joe Whyte to the inaugural Pub Night Sessions  // Live At The Williams Center.

Joe Whyte will perform an acoustic solo set on Saturday April 22nd after the monthly showcase of local comics.

Entry is FREE.

This event will be held in the same space and in similar fashion to the well received Craft Beer Nights of the past few months. The various bars will be offering wine, bubbly, and a much more focused and concise craft beer offering. In addition to draft and select pours, we will have two very limited breweries offered the night of the 22nd and will be announcing those within the next few weeks.

We look forward to seeing you all and kicking off what promises to be a great series of live music, libations and sharing in good spirits, all in the name of local arts.

Joe Whyte Biography

Combining equal parts country, folk, rock and Americana, singer/songwriter JOE WHYTE's songs have been described as "alt-country pearls that shimmer with simplicity and effectiveness" and "beautifully crafted, melancholic Americana."

Dubbed, "The King of NYC Americana" by music blog Twangnation, Joe's latest EP, WHEN THE DAY BREAKS, is a stripped-down, acoustic-based follow-up to 2007's critically acclaimed full-band album, Devil in the Details. Though primarily a solo affair, Joe is joined on a few songs by band members Catherine Popper (Jack White, Grace Potter, Ryan Adams) on bass and vocals, and Dan Marcus (Ana Egge, Crescent & Frost) on guitar, dobro and mandolin.

The last few years have seen Joe play during the Americana Music Conference in Nashville, be selected the Sonicbids winner for the the "A Taste of Triple A" sampler and play the Bluebird Cafe stage on the Philadelphia stop of the "Country Throwdown" tour. Other highlights include playing WSM radio's stage on the historic Ryman Auditorium plaza for CMA Fest and opening dates for Jim Lauderdale, Justin Townes Earle, Darrell Scott, Alejandro Escovedo and Rosanne Cash.

Over the years, Joe has also performed throughout the US, UK and Ireland with artists such as Tony Joe White, Steve Forbert, Chuck Prophet, Cadillac Sky, Rod Picott, Amanda Shires, Slaid Cleaves, Lucy Kaplansky and Son Volt, to name a few.
